Music for the New Years Eve Dance Washington DC
I have chosen 2 songs from three different music genres to be played at the New Years Eve Dance Washington DC. The three genres I chose from are country, rock, and hip hop. I chose these genres because I think they are the most popular genres of music.
The two songs I chose from the country genre are “I love this bar” by Toby Keith and “Cocaine Blues” by Johnny Cash. I chose “I love this bar” because it is a song everyone can relate to. Whether you are into new country music or old country music, everyone knows this song. It is a feel-good song that should warm everyone up during the New Years Gala Dinner. I chose “Cocaine Blues” simply because it is one of my favorite country songs.
The two rock songs I chose for the New Years Eve Dance Washington DC are both by the band Nickelback. I think “Photograph” and “Rockstar” are good choices because they are songs that everyone knows. “Photograph” will make people remember good memories from their past, and “Rockstar” will make them look forward to the awesome opportunities of life and what the future may hold. Plus, these songs could also be considered part of the pop genre.
For the hip hop category, I chose two songs that both Lil Wayne and Eminem have parts in. Lil Wayne and Eminem are the most famous rappers in the whole world; everyone loves them. I chose “No Love” because it was the most popular song from Eminem’s last albums. I also chose “Forever”. Not only is it a great song with Lil Wayne and Eminem, Drake and Kanye West also have parts in it. Since they are also well-known artists, I think “Forever” will be a hit during the New Year Eve dinner dance.
I chose the six songs that I thought were best from the three most popular categories of music by the most well-known artists. Hopefully my picks are liked by everyone at the New Years Eve Dance Washington DC. If so, there is a good chance that I will be able to choose the music again next year.
